Felling, rope climbing and equipment

Technical fellings with controlled lowering, sectional dismantling as a team, rope climbing for hard-to-reach trees – even where no machine can go.

The right access for every tree

Whether a tree is climbed, worked from the platform or felled in one piece is decided by the site: space, ground, neighbours, lines, buildings. I prefer to work with rope climbing – it's gentle on the ground, needs no vehicle access and reaches every point in the crown.

Rope climbing (SKT)
Working in the crown with a double-rope system, secured and positioned for every cut. No machine on the lawn, no damage to beds, root zone or paths.
Sectional felling and rigging
Dismantling trees piece by piece where there is no room to fell in one. Crown parts and stem sections are lowered under control with rope, pulleys and friction devices – even over roofs, fences and gardens.Sectional dismantling of a birch on the ropeStem dismantled piece by piece on the rope
Felling
Felling with directional notch and wedge in the planned direction, cross-cutting and processing on site. On request with removal of the wood or preparation as firewood. Two chainsaws on the stump, felled stems on the ropeChainsaw on the stump, felled stem
Storm damage and hazard trees
Clearing windthrow, broken branches and cracked trees – with experience from traffic safety work for the Ponts et Chaussées. During the protection period (1 March – 30 September) I, as a tree inspector, supply the FLL inspection report needed for the forester's emergency felling authorisation at the same time. In case of acute danger: just call.
Aerial work platform
Using a platform where climbing makes no sense – for instance on dead trees that no longer offer a safe anchor point.
Forestry work
Felling and deadwood removal along forest paths, making forest edges safe, processing – for private forest owners and municipalities.

For companies and subcontracting

Large sectional fellings run faster and safer with two climbers in the crown. Tréleidir.lu works as a subcontractor for tree care companies, landscapers and municipalities – second climber, own equipment, invoiced. Enquiry for companies →

Fair play among colleagues: I don't take on customers already looked after by Arbor360 or a partner company – unless the company itself passes the job on to me. There is only one exception: tree inspection – I offer that to everyone as an independent service; the care or felling work that follows from it I refer back to the company that looks after the customer. And the other way round: if, as an Arbor360 customer, you want my particular expertise – such as the FLL tree inspection – you can simply bring me in via Arbor360. That way everything stays in one hand.

Safety: every job starts with an on-site risk assessment. Certified to ECC 1 & 2 (European Chainsaw Certificate), rope climbing and platform operation; roadside traffic safety set up to the official signalisation plans.
