"Loftleidir" is Icelandic for "airways". Tréleidir are the tree ways: tré is the tree, leiðir are the ways. The eagle with the pointed wings is the one from Loftleidir; the tree, the ropes and the crossed saws are the craft; the three coils of rope stand for caring, inspecting and preserving.

Loftleidir Icelandic Airlines in Luxembourg – the first low-cost airline in the world, which made flying across the Atlantic affordable for ordinary people.

That matches my spirit exactly. Hence the name, hence the sign.

Eric Aakrann, my father
He believed in me when few did, and carried me when it was needed. Without him this business would not exist.

"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."
Hebrews 11:1
Whoever plants trees often doesn't know how tall they may grow.
And arborist.lu?
That's the name I started under, and the name many know me by. Tréleidir.lu is the same person, the same business, the same work – with a name that tells something about me.
Who owns the domain arborist.lu today is, due to misunderstandings, not clearly settled; clearing it up is still on my mind. Tréleidir is actually the name of a planned ASBL (non-profit) for projects of cultural preservation and considerate change. So one day, business and association may part ways again – the core idea stays the same.
Three signs, one idea
